Therapy for Children, Teens, Adults, and Parents
Evidence-based treatment for anxiety & depression
I specialize in evidence-based treatment for children, teens, and adults with anxiety and depression. I primarily provide Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients learn how to change thoughts and behaviors to reduce anxiety and depression as well as to reduce common co-occurring diagnoses including ADHD and OCD. I also have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and often integrate DBT skills into therapy to support my clients in building mindfulness, tolerating distress, feeling more in control of their emotions, and engaging in effective relationships. In all of my work, I use flexibility and warmth to help clients achieve their goals and build lives full of meaningful experiences and relationships.
Parenting support
I also work with parents looking for support as they strive to best meet the needs of their children and teens. This includes Parent Management Training (PMT), which aims to help parents change their behaviors to reduce disruptive behaviors in their children and teens.
Life transitions & relationships
Children, teens, adults, and parents go through important life transitions that can be stressful to navigate. I work with clients in the midst of these life transitions to support them in managing this stress and reaching their goals, whether at home, school, or work.
Feeling close and connected to those around us is also important for stress management and overall well-being. I work with clients who are seeking support in reducing interpersonal conflict and in building and maintaining positive relationships.
Getting started
Please click the “Contact” button above to schedule a free 15-minute consultation phone call with me to see if we’re a good fit. If we do seem like a good fit, we will then schedule an initial session. For children and teens, I ask both the child/teen and parent/guardian to be present for the initial session.
Ongoing sessions
Sessions are 45 minutes and are typically scheduled weekly. For younger children, parents/guardians typically play a more active role in therapy sessions. For teens, parents/guardians may participate less frequently in sessions—we will work together to figure out how much parental engagement in therapy week-to-week makes the most sense for you.
Location
I currently offer virtual therapy. I am licensed in Pennsylvania and New York and offer teletherapy to residents of those states.
Fees
I am an out-of-network provider and am not in-network for any insurance plans. I provide paperwork for clients to submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. Clients can contact their insurance company to learn about their out-of-network mental health benefits. Please contact me to learn more about my fees.
